I need to buy a new PC tower and a notebook PC. Anyone know where I can turn? Does anyone work at a place that I can buy those at a really good deal?

I'm looking for the HP m7470 (or something like that) with the AMD Athlon X2 (2.2GHz * 2). I want the Media Center package with Lightscribe and the removeable hard drive slot.

I am also looking for the HP notebook with the AMD Athlon also.

If anyone has any good leads, please tell me....

has a lot of what you are looking for... Been using this comp since that post and I think it is great, just love it... you would have to buy the add ons you want but good deal, bad thing is they are in CA... Comp by itself was 499... and also subject to what they have... it is usually custom orders that were denied, credit fell through or something else happened, they sell them at the distribution center... Some overstock stuff but while the are good deals they are usually entry level equipment.... great for business not so great for personal use...

it was the dual core processor, or is rather...

I bought it from the PCMall distribution center they don't really have a showroom but if you go in there you can ask for what they have as overstocks, returns, custom orders that fell through or refurbished units... It is a nationwide distribution center that is about the size of two Target stores...

The only bad part is they nearly never have the same thing twice and you never know what it is going to be...
