Having been a cop for seven years, and perhaps Shane can back me up, its my opinion that Caldwell had to have been coke'd up in that game. Anyone see those eyes after those god awful drops?

I arrested a guy on PCP and coke that had that same look.

I want to see what he looks like when he's surprised.

If he wore contacts, they'd have to be the size of a quarter.

Well, on those two balls he dropped there is no way he can claim he didn't see them coming.

I said the exact thing to my wife. It wasn't like they went away either when they showed him later in the game.

I've had some dealing with crack-heads who looked less crazy-eyed.

Hehehehehe.

Go ask any Charger fan. He has ALWAYS looked like that.....heck go find a college picture of him, and you will see those same frog like eyes.

I think the NFL tests for coke and PCP.

My wife is a nurse practitioner and she said it could be a Thyroid issue, much like Mike Shanihan SP?

Although many people still associate thyroid dysfunction with the classic symptoms - goiters, obesity, and "bug eyes" - there are many different symptoms of thyroid problems. When symptoms aren't severe or don't seem directly related to thyroid hormones, patients and their healthcare providers may dismiss them or blame them on some other condition.

What amazed me on that one play was how long it took Brady to catch that he was uncovered and then he still gets the ball out there and the guy dropped it.

When he went to the bench he appeared to be complaining that it took so long but dude the ball hit you in the hands, you had a td likely if you caught it, don't complain, just catch the ball.

That was huge, just like his eyes.

Ya gotta wonder about the director in the booth who kept putting the camera on him. The guy looks bizarre. Must be the same joker who panned on Denny every time he spit on the sideline. Come to think of it, they also love to show Shanahan's tics!!!

I bet this director doesn't give a hoot about football. When all the other boys were playing ball, he was tearing the legs off of bugs and setting cats on fire for fun.

They also loved to show Tom Brady all the time for no reason. See Tom stretch. See Tom smile. See Tom frown.

Only when he's playing though. His sitdown pics he is normal eyed...or to him, squinting.

He always looks like that. I'm not sure if its some disorder or something, but when he's on the field his eyes look like that.

"Uppers" give you eyes like 50c pieces. They've been fairly common in all sports dating back to the sixties.

If he looks like that all the time then its a wonder that he can ever get aboard a plane. Can you imagine looking over and see a passenger next to you with that look? Yikes! :)

From Wiki:

Donald Reche Caldwell, Jr. (born March 28, 1979 in Tampa, Florida) is an American football player who currently plays wide receiver on the New England Patriots. He is the older brother of current Florida Gators receiver Andre Caldwell. His nickname is "Headlights" Caldwell, for his rather large eyes (a trait noted by broadcasters John Madden and Al Michaels, and a trait he shares with his brother).

nice.
