I caught it half way through. Very cool! Wish I saw the entire thing.

What event caused the extinction of humans? Or did they even say?

No - it's about the effect we have had on the planet and how all of our structures and systems decay - some quite quickly - without us there to maintain them.
Electrical grid - 3 days, nuke plants - 10 days.

I saw that, it was good. There was another show very similar to that one on a month or so ago called "Life After Humans" that was good also.

It was a bit different and they had interviews with scientists etc. that "Population Zero" didn't have.

Yeah, I watched the other one too, on The History Channel. Cool show, I felt bad for all the pets.
