Defensive end Jerry Hughes is staying with the Buffalo Bills after agreeing to re-sign to a five-year contract worth more than $45 million on Monday, a day before being eligible to become a free agent. A news conference is expected to be held to announce Hughes' re-signing in the next two days. Hughes arrived in Buffalo late Sunday night once the framework of the contract was put together after a lengthy day of negotiations, the person said. Though Hughes garnered plenty of attention from other teams during the NFL's three-day negotiating period that opened Saturday, his preference was to remain in Buffalo and play under new head coach Rex Ryan, the person said.
