Apple ID password issues

I tried to log in today on my IPad and it wouldn't accept my password. I tried to log in to ITunes on my PC and got the same results.

I did the reset my password through e-mail, didn't get an e-mail.
I tried to reset it through security questions and it said all my answers were wrong, even my birthday.

I called Apple tech support and we went through the same steps all to no avail.

Eventually, an hour and a half later and three requests sent, I got an e-mail that let me reset my password. I immediately reset my security questions and DOB.

Very strange, I know what my password and security answers were, no doubt in my mind what so ever. AND ny date of birth was wrong? No! If it had been they would not have accepted my credit card info in the past.

I kept tell the the tech support people that it looked like I had been hacked but they kept saying no that's not the problem but things have changed because of a security breach.
Sounds like a hack to me.

Anyone else have any issues logging into their Apple ID?

Not yet, but haven't really tried - I will.

There was a massive Apple security breach from a third-party vendor.

I know and I think I was one of them although I don't think any damage was done.

That has happened twice with my girlfriend she has iTunes and an iPhone. I set it all up and I literally have it written down on a postit stuck to my computer at home. Twice it won't login, keeps insisting password is wrong, security questions wrong etc.

She wanted me to download the new Facebook app upgrade on her phone but we gave up, it simply will not log her in.
