This kid's a freak. BIG frame, major league heater with that long release point that looks like it's already on top of you when it leaves his fingers. Curveball that will depants you and run away before you even knew what happened.

He's Curt Schilling, Jr., in my opinion, and he's possibly the best pitcher in the minor leagues at the moment.

Archie Bradley deals at Double A

When talking about elite pitching prospects, one can’t mention many names before you get to Bradley, who ranks second in the minors with 63 strikeouts and fifth with a 1.05 ERA.

Archie Bradley keeps getting better

The right-hander turned in yet another dominant outing for Double-A Mobile on Saturday, giving up one run in six innings. His ERA with Mobile stands at 0.90 through four starts. He posted a 1.26 ERA in five starts with High-A Visalia before a promotion.
Bradley had a 3.84 ERA with Low-A South Bend last season.
Perhaps his most eye-popping stats from this year: He has 68 strikeouts in 482/3 innings, a rate of 12.6 per nine innings, and has cut his walk rate from 5.6 per nine innings last season in South Bend to 3.3.

Yeah Bradley is the best pitcher and probably overall prospect in the system right now. Interesting to look back at that 2011 draft where we had 2 picks in the top 10:

1. Gerrit Cole, RHP UCLA
2. Danny Hultzen, LHP Virginia
3. Trevor Bauer, RHP UCLA--> AZ
4. Dylan Bundy, RHP Owasso HS
5. Bubba Starling, OF Gardner Edgerton HS
6. Anthony Rendon, 3B Rice
7. Archie Bradley, RHP Broken Arrow Sr HS--> AZ
8. Francisco Lindor, SS Montverde Academy
9. Javier Baez, SS Arlington Country Day School
10. Cory Spangenberg, 2B Indian River State

If we could go back in time should we have taken Bundy instead of Bauer? I know the two are best buds and Bundy was dominant before his arm issues this year. Oh well...Bauer did net us Didi who has been great so far and the MLB draft is probably the biggest crapshoot out of all the major sports drafts...maybe aside from hockey

ARZ should have took either Rendon or Bundy who is actually good friends with Bradley (both from OK). Ironically, Bundy is known as a nutrition and workout fanatic but rumor has it he may need Tommy John surgery. Goldy, Didi & Rendon would be a monster INF.

If I'm not mistaken Bradley was the best pitching prospect in the 2011 draft, but he fell to 7 because he was considered to be a project. Looks like he might be progressing either right on track or maybe even ahead of schedule.

He might have been the best high school pitching prospect in that draft, but it was more likely a toss up between him and Bundy. Cole, Hultzen and Bauer were considered interchangeable in terms of talent projection, but opinions varied on who was tops.

I think there was also concern that Bradley was going to choose being the Sooner QB rather than baseball

Maybe he can replace Alfred E Neuman next year.
