We have been working under the assumption that the reason quarterback Aaron Rodgers was still undecided about where to play in 2025 is because he had three teams vying for his services. But according to NFL pundit Ben Allbright, this is not the case. First it was ESPN's Jeremy Fowler who noted the Minnesota Vikings are fully committed to JJ McCarthy as the team's No. 1 in 2025 but Allbright took it a step further, hinting that this is basically all coming from Rodgers and his representatives.

It's been the Steelers and the New York Giants both with offers in for Rodgers and both awaiting his answer. But the rumors were that the Vikings had also put in an offer, but it sounds like this was just a bluff to perhaps help leverage more money from one of the teams that actually want to sign him.

If the Steelers miss out on Rodgers, it's entirely unclear what direction they will go next. They could try and bring Russell Wilson back if he doesn't sign somewhere else but if this happens, Wilson will be able to practically set his own price.

I’ll be more blunt. The Vikings have no interest in Aaron Rodgers despite his interest in them.
