Are there 3 teams in the National league that are worse than the Diamondbacks?

There are only five that have lower winning % but a couple of those are playing better ball. The Reds are 35-52 but are obviously the better team in this series.

An arguement could be made that either the Dbacks or Dodgers are currently the worst in the NL.

Dbacks are going through a really rough stretch right now, the bats especially. I'm not ready to call them one of the worst teams in the NL quite yet. Let's see how they fare after the break.

We're not one of the three worst, but we do share a basement rec room with only 4-5 others: Colorado, San Francisco, Dodgers, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati all tend to run equivalent or worse general stats - and we are in an irritating little gully recently. In most team batting stats, as of July 4 we were pretty much right in the middle of the pack in the NL - 5th to 9th. Since then, our position has dropped in many hitting stats. Our current BA is 12th, 5th for SLG, 11th OBA, 7th OPS, 3rd in taking walks (THAT one shocked me. I would have guessed lower) 4th in striking out. 3rd for HR, 14th stolen bases.

As of July 4, starter ERA was 5th, likewise giving up walks, and around 7th in Ks. Bullpen was worst in ERA, 3rd in walking batters, was tied for 9th in Ks.
Current total team pitching: ERA is 14th; BAA 14th; 9th in K:BB given up. WHIP is 13th, Save% 6th.

Unfortunately, looks like the Monsoon is going to be delayed at least another week or two.

Still think we're not one of the 3 worst teams in baseball?

If you want to go by runs scored and runs allowed we're tied for the second worst team in baseball with the Devil Rays only ahead of the Royals.

And the DRays have are defenitely on an upswing.

At one point the Dbacks were actually 10 games above .500.
