Colts OC Bruce Arians is having dinner in Arizona tonight with Cardinals officials and will continue interviewing with them Thursday.

I wonder if Michael B will pick Arians up in an '89 Camry, go through the In-n-Out drive through in reverse to make him pay for double-doubles for he and Keim.

for some reason, I feel like Arians will be a Tobin-type hire. Just kind of beige.

Another nice guy we hate to see fired in 4 years.

I'm just praying that in a couple of years we'll be resurrecting these threads to show how wrong we were at the time.

A man can dream, can't he?

Rumor is that if they hire Arians, then theyll have to fire Horton because Arians wants his own staff.

Ive delt with alot as a Cardinals fan, but I might actually quit this team if that happens. Usually when I say that im just irked by some embarrassing loss, but right now just the possibility of that event happening has me like 40% out the door on this team.

Well, the Cards only Superbowl appearance came with a superhot QB and Offense...and an average, at best defense.

Theres no QB coming with him so whats it matter?

Besides thats not the point. We have 1 good thing on this team and thats the D. The 49ers showed last year that a solid D and average game manager QB and Offense can win games. The Ravens won a superbowl doing that.

and now they want to destroy it.

But still a possibility. It was Arians agent who said that to Jurecki, not Bruce. I still think Arians is a nut to want this job, given the poor QBs, RBs & Oline! I'm not sure it's going to change in 2013, given our cap situation & lack of sure fire QBs in the draft.

Arians couldn't even make things work on a stacked Steelers offense and is 60 years old. What makes everyone think he will have any success here?

I guess winning the Super Bowl doesn't count for anything.

I am also not sure what you mean by stacked. How many RB's have started for them in the last 5 years and besides an aging Hines Ward and Mike Wallace for the last two years he was there, what weapons did Ben have? Lets also not forget how often Ben is hurt and the legal troubles he had.

Antonio Brown
Hines Ward
Rashard Mendenhall
Isaac Redman
Mike Wallace
Maurkice Pouncey
Big Ben
Willie Parker
EDIT: Santonio Holmes

That's a offense with a lot of talented players and he was only able get them ranked inside the top 10 once.

Let's not forget the Steelers effectively fired him last season because of his incompetence so he was clearly not doing a great job.

I get what you're saying, but it's a little misleading. Pouncey and Brown were only there the last two years for Arians, and by that time Ward was clearly on the decline. Willy Parker was long gone by then. Isaac Reman doesn't belong on this list as he's nothing special. Wallace had his worst statistical season without Arians this year (outside of his rookie year). So it's not like these guys all existed on the same offense at the same time.

That said, I prefer Bevell or Gruden to Arians, but that order could be completely turned upside down depending on the staffs they can put together.
