That statement is totally irrelevant.
BA is on record that he will NEVER, NEVER (he used it twice) fire a coach... EVER. Therefore, BA has to go, it's pretty simple, he surrounded himself with under-performing nincompoops... and he won't ditch any ? Ergo, he must go, the sooner the better, because he sure as hell is not going to make any mid-season or end-of-season adjustments, because he already told us he wouldn't... EVER.

Unless he has convinced Keim it is the players and not the coaches. If you listen to Arians quite often he passes all the blame on the players.

Listen to the front runner quote and it is almost all about the players and virtually nothing about the coaches.

He also said "if you miss your child's event, I'll fire you", so which is it? :D Clearly we just need to get Bettcher and Amos to miss an event. BA says a lot of things, here's the quote I mentioned. Do you have a source?

BA deserves our respect and thanks. He may or may not have burnt out or become extinct. The same HC who targeted Bowles as he DC is now an idiot for promoting Bettcher.

Maybe his style/act has run its course but maybe he hasn't gone stupid suddenly.

Having Gabbert start over Stanton at this point sends the wrong message to the team. Let Stanton win or not and if/when we are officially eliminated from the playoffs let Gabbert start and see what we have in him.

Yes, the last two seasons have sucked and it hurts more now since we have had some very good years,

Message to the team be damned. Should you do the smart thing and see what you have in players when your season is done, or should you worry about the feelings of a group of players that have quit and (many of which) won't be around next season?

You try to win period. Stanton gives them the best chance to do so.

I could not make out a damn thing from your diatribe with all the spat it left in my eyes Michael Irvin :)

Because just about every team carries 3 QBs? He's making peanuts, just like any other 3rd string QB would.

They gave Gabbert nearly a million dollars to be the #3 QB. Zac Dysert and Matt Barkley were getting paid about half that.

Inline with the topic of this thread - some ahve been talking about how getting a new, young QB would be energizing for BA, but in MMQB and his book:

"In his book, The Quarterback Whisperer, Arians was honest about his distaste for mistake-prone rookie quarterbacks and admitted: “I was too damn old to rebuild anything” upon taking the job in 2013."

$300K difference? No big deal IMO.

Isn't that basically the difference in the veteran minimum between those guys?

Any DC that can't game plan for DS and this vanilla offense he will be running needs to be fired.

Does anyone actually believe that DS will win games for us? I don't. If we win it will be in spite of him. It's absolutely mind boggling how he still has a job and get paid like he does.

it has never been stantons job to win games for the cardinals... his job is and always has been to just not lose games for us.

That would imply that we have a defense that will not allow points, and score/create turnovers.
they dont need to score or go for turnovers... just keep the other team out of the endzone. If they can do that we have a chance to win the game. This defense thinking they have to win the game is a huge mistake...we saw what happpens last time we went to stanton and then lindley..the defense gets aggressive and makes stupid plays,...losing us the game.

As far as game planning, it matters a lot on defense to an extent but maybe only on some crucial downs for the offense because the best teams really do not trick opponents, you know what is coming but cannot stop it. Hence lies the problem, we do not have the best talent in key positions in the trenches... so game planning makes this woman look bad no matter what clothes she wears while a hot chick looks great with as little as possible, she has no need to trick you lol

I remember BA saying something to the effect of "6 months ago I was the dumbest son of a bitch in the league. Today I'm a genius." Something like that. Probably during the 2015 season.

all well and good, except, if the Offense is doing nothing and you keep the other offense out of the endzone but they are close enough, on one of multiple tries, to kick a field goal... then we lose 3-0.
I expect us to lose to SF by more than 3-0.

If they had no intentions of playing either then why pay the more expensive guy?

My post was directed at the idea that Gabbert deserves a roster spot due to the fact that he was making what every other #3 QB makes... Which is not the case
