Isn't that basically Gabbert as well?
In my opinion, yes, but he's a guy they are apparently high on. Gabbert has more of an upside than Stanton--they think Gabbert may be QBOF material (while I don't), but they can't think Stanton is a QBOF. If they truly think that, Bidwill should fire them and change the locks so the idiots can never get back into the building lol
The team starting Stanton really puts us back out of a misguided sense of grasping for wins that just aren't going to come. We SUCK, and won't make the playoffs, so why push back the possible development of a younger QB the team believes in? Makes no sense.
What free agent would you like us to pick up and start? Just curious...And please don't say BG, because we have already seen that movie.
Oh, this year is a wash and I don't think we should go after anyone, other than to make up numbers. I just think it's incredibly idiotic to start Stanton, a 'never going to be a starting QB' over a younger 'never has been but the team believes he might be a starter in the future' BG. Why would they do this? It's pure desperation, and it hurts the team. This is the time to evaluate BG (IMO, so they can wake up and smell the coffee, because he ISN'T a QBOF) and see what you have going forward. Or, more likely, to see what you DON'T have lol
