The Arizona Cardinals did not trade the 16th overall pick in the draft. They used it to take an SEC defensive lineman for the second consecutive year.

They selected Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen.

Nolen is 6-foot-4 and 296 pounds. He started his collegiate career playing two seasons at Texas A&M before transferring for his final season to Ole Miss.

In 2024, he was All-American, logging 48 total tackles, 6.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. He is long, he is athletic and plays the run and the pass well.

It continues to be a focus on the defensive line this offseason, as the Cardinals signed Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell and re-signed L.J. Collier after drafting Darius Robinson in the first round last year.
