The Arizona Diamondbacks were eliminated from the NL West race with a 12-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, giving the division title to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The defeat left Arizona 4 1/2 games behind the Dodgers with three games to go. Los Angeles, winning its first division title since 2004, had four games left going into Thursday night's contest against San Diego.
