SACRAMENTO - During his worst shooting season, Shawn Marion has been a top contributor with his defense and rebounding.
To help even more, Marion has turned more selective in his shooting. His 30 percent accuracy from three-point range was dragging down his shooting. He still is not hitting threes but has made an effort to take fewer of them.
Marion has hit 34 of 58 shots, including only six three-point tries, in the past four games. He has not made a three-pointer in the past six games (11 tries).
"He's such a good kid that he'll do whatever to improve himself," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. "I think he felt he wasn't shooting well from outside and he started slashing and he's been great."
