Arizona to give Stoops 3-year extension (AP)

Fresh off its first bowl win in 10 years, Arizona plans to extend coach Mike Stoops' contract by three years, through 2013. Details of the deal have yet to be worked out. It is subject to the approval of the Arizona Board of Regents. "We're very pleased with the progress of Arizona football under Mike's direction," athletic director Jim Livengood said Tuesday.

But the real questions are:

1) Did he get a raise?

2) What's his buyout?

3) Will the BOR approve it if either have increased from the previous contract?

2. Not sure, but I imagine Livengood asked for a bigger buyout were Stoops to leave for a different job

3. I don't see why not, ASU asked for and received the same for Erickson's greater contract last year.
