Russ - you seem to know a lot about the Bears. Any thoughts on this one?

I'm going with:

Cal - 35
Arizona - 21

The Cats have not been able to stop the run all year which bodes well for Marshawn Lynch but I do think this will be Cal's toughest matchup yet due to the ease of their schedule so far and how Arizona has been playing as of late. Hopefully the Cats can pull one off but it's going to take a lot of luck.

I know nada about UA so consider that.

They have allowed the most rushing yards in the Pac 10, Cal leads the pac 10 in rushing. Cal gets back 2 OL's this week who missed the Illinois game with concussions, and Lynch will play although Tedford says how much depends on score and how he handles the ball. Forsett has been awesome, he's small but he's blazing fast and running more confidently now, O'Keith is good so even if Lynch can't play they'll have good RB's. Realize Terrell Williams rushed for over 200 yards in a game as a true freshman at Cal and he's fighting O'Keith now for #3 RB, Cal is loaded at RB.

They have great speed at WR but Ayoob is a noob, so far he's making the claim that anybody can look good in Tedford's offense, look ridiculous. he's the most hot and cold passer I've seen in a while, he's gone 0-10 and 0-9 in separate games this year with guys open. DeSean Jackson had 2 wide open TD's where Ayoob underthrew him so badly you'd have thought someone shot the ball in midflight.

Cal's D is improved but after the way Texas Tech killed them in the bowl game I expect teams that can throw, have a chance. Can UA throw?

I'd guess Cal wins handily but that's because I think they can run on them I really know nothing about UA this year haven't seen them at all.

The UofA defense is returning four guys who have been hurt. They get back Bryan, Sims, Krogstad and Larsen. These guys definitely will help stop the run. I think Stoops will have the defense focus on the run and make Cal beat them by throwing. The UofA's secondary is their strongest part of the defense, so it will be interesting.

I think the UofA makes it a close game but I have Cal winning by 7-10 points.

Keep in mind Cal's schedule has been beyond weak this year, the first 3 games the opponents combined have 3 wins, Illinois got hammered by 40+ by Mich State the weak after Cal beat them by 30, Sac State got hammered by Davis, so Cal's stats are a bit misleading on offense they haven't faced anybody good yet.

Go Cal !!

this maybe one of the few times I actually root for UA to win, I think the monkey man Mike Stoops is a close second in being overated to to Jeff Tedford with that team of JC superstars he runs out year after year. Kal's schedule is so weak that even the national media is painfully moving them up week after week.

Kal 21
UA 7

I'll be mildly rooting for UA but not disapointed if they lose if that makes sense?
