Best Offensive Player: Rob Gronkowski
Breakout Offensive Player: William 'Bug' Wright

Best Defensive Player: Devin Ross
Breakout Defensive Player: Vuna Tuihalamaka

Predicted Record: 6-6 (4-5) *edited due to lingering Gronkowski injury and QB situation*

Other predictions: One of Sonny Dykes or Mike Stoops gets a new gig during bowl season. Rob Gronkowski enters the NFL Draft a year early and goes in the 1st round. Matt Scott and Nick Foles share QB duties throughout the season based on game situations.

Best Player on Offense: Rob Gronk
Breakout Player on Offense: (Hoping it's however is at QB) But realistically, Delashaun Dean

Best Player on Defense: Brooks Reed
Breakout Player on Defense: Devin Ross

Predicted Record (Overall and Conference): 8-4

Any other predictions: We beat ASU for the second straight year. And win a close one in Iowa. Our losses come to USC, Cal, OSU, and UCLA.

BTW, did everyone see that the Cats were picked 8th in the Pac10 Media Poll? What a load of crap.

I can't believe they were picked 8th either. Why is ASU supposed to be better? They lost their QB and their O-line is average at best. The UA has a solid corp of receivers and RB's and the best TE in the country. I think the Cats and Devils will have similarly ranked defenses. But UA's offense will give them they edge. UCLA being ranked higher is a bigger joke, they can't move the ball at all.

UA has the marginal edge in talent, but ASU has the much easier schedule.

I think it's going to be USC, Cal, one of the Oregon schools on another level with UO/OSU, UA, ASU, UCLA, and Stanford all right there. UW also won't be as bad this year.

I'd like to add a category to this discussion:

Newcomer of the Year: I'm going with Travis Cobb the JC WR. I think he will beat out Bug Wright for Mike Thomas' role.

Best Offensive Player = Gronk
Breakout = William Wright

Best Defensive Player = Cam Nelson
Breakout = D'Andre Reed

7-5 overall
5-4 conference

Prediction: ASU will have no offense, which will lead them to many turnovers and 3 and outs. That vaunted defense they have been advertising is going to be too tired to play us on 11/28. One dimensional teams like ASU don't usually go very far.

I don't think there will be any surprises this season. We'll win the games we're supposed to win. We'll lose the games we're supposed to lose.
