McFADDEN CUFFED, RELEASED

Arkanasas running back Darren McFadden, who likely will be one of the top picks in the 2008 draft, was handcuffed early Thursday after an incident at a piano bar in Little Rock, Arkansas. (Piano bar? What's next for McFadden, heated pants?)

McFadden was allegedly involved in a "pretty rowdy scene" outside of said piano bar.

The two-time Heisman runner-up was cuffed for five minutes "because he was agitated and was provoking aggressive behavior," according to the police report. He was released and not charged. (We wonder whether he would have escaped a trip to the station in the back seat of a cruiser if the incident hadn't happened in Arkansas.)

Though McFadden wasn't arrested, this is the kind of thing that will prompt teams to take an even closer look at him before making him the recipient of a huge chunk of guaranteed money.

McFadden has not yet said that he'll enter the NFL, but he is widely expected to do so.

That was my thought. First off, who is at a Piano bar that you may want to fight? Secondly, I want to know what the arguement was about. Tjis story has to be hilarious.

For what it's worth, there's a "piano bar" down below The Owl's Nest/Hooters/The Library on Mill Avenue. I haven't been there, but I know that that place can get rowdy if the right people show up.

A man can only hear Billy Joel's "Piano Man" played so many times before violence erupts.

Rock Bottom. Went there a couple weeks ago was pretty loud & that was on Christmas Break when most kids go home.

My wife went there for her bachelorette party, such as it was. Is it really called "Rock Bottom"? I guess that makes sense, but the "Rock Bottom Breweries" here in the Valley are pretty terrible, and I have no idea why they'd want to associate themselves with that name.

Just watched him on TV being interviewed. I am familiar with the bar. A fight broke out in the bar and Darien left. When he got out side he heard his little brother had been hit so he went back in to get him. The Bouncer is not talking and sounds like he is looking for some quick money as he has a scratch on his face. Darien did not resist the officers when they came and he was quickly released. He said the officer were right in cuffing him in the situation. I doubt anything comes of this. You can count Darien gone as his mama just bought a new Caddy. What we do not know is whether Felix Jones is leaving or not. He could stay. If he goes he might be there in the second round and as a very special kick returner or runner he would be worth a pick. He led he nation in YPC at around 9.6 going well over 1000 yard even with McFadden on the team.

Hey, John, can't resist: Is McFadden going to be as good as the last Arkansas wonderkid, Matt Jones? :p

Hey Skorp. McFadden is a pure RB. Matt was a hybrid QB with speed for a tall guy. McFadden in IMHO will be an instant success baring injury. Matt had a decent year and made a few great catches. Not often a college QB comes into the pros and is an instant starter at WR so he has done well. I think I saw Jones throw a couple of passes this year. McFadden can easily throw the ball 50 yds plus. I originally thought he would go 1-3 but now I could see him going 1-10 because of off field goofy stuff. He is not a real trouble maker sort of kid and he is only 20 years old. Saw Felix Jones on TV last night at a convention here in Little Rock. Our senior starting Center who could easily have gone into the draft has decided to finish his college. He may have been all SEC. Felix Jones is coy on the subject but I think it is 50/50 whether he goes or stays. He would be far enough down in the draft I think for us to get him and he has speed to burn and is an all SEC kick returner. He is one who can take it to the house at anytime. He may get lost in the draft.

Taking a guess I would say Felix Jones stays for another year at Arkansas. However they did have that coaching change so that may enter into his decision.

If he was available to the Cardinals, second round or later, I think he would make an excellent #2 RB. Is he also a good pass reciever?

Again, if all this hub-bub causes McFadden to fall to #16 - TAKE HIM!
