Boogie Fland will reportedly return from a wrist injury next week if Arkansas basketball qualifies for the men's NCAA Tournament.

At halftime of the SEC Tournament semifinal between Florida and Alabama, ESPN analyst Seth Greenberg shared that Razorbacks (20-13) head coach John Calipari expects his freshman point guard to be available for a hypothetical first-round game.

"I just got a text from John Calipari. Boogie Fland is working out. He's expected to go full-practice tomorrow. Unless he gets a setback, they expect him to play in their next game," Greenberg said.

This is a significant change from Wednesday, when Calipari insinuated that Fland and Adou Thiero were still multiple weeks away from returning to the floor.

"Not in this (SEC) tournament. We advance a couple weeks, maybe," Calipari said when asked about the injured duo's status in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fland hasn't played since Jan. 18 due to a wrist injury. He initially sustained the injury in a 71-63 loss to Florida on Jan. 11, but Fland played two more games before being shut down. Arkansas never detailed a timetable for the freshman's return, and the university did not respond to an inquiry about Greenberg's report.

Fland averaged 15.1 points, 5.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds across 18 games. He was one of the Hogs' most consistent players while healthy, but Arkansas started the SEC slate 0-5 with Fland as the starting point guard.

D.J. Wagner replaced Fland in the starting lineup and has looked much more comfortable serving as the primary point guard. Wagner is averaging 11.1 points and 3.5 assists on the year.

Most national experts believe the Hogs are on the right side of the bubble entering Selection Sunday. ESPN Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology projections have the Razorbacks as a No. 10 seed and one of the last four teams in the field to receive a bye.
