Never understood why the Auburn faithful have such a distaste for Tuberville. The guy wins around ten games a season (although is OOC scheduling has been downright pathetic in the past) and more often than not beats his rivals. Although he has been doing it during an Alabama down cycle so I can see why they'd be concerned with Saban coming in. If they lose to one of Arkansas or Georgia and get swept by LSU/Bama I think he might be done.

Not that I would mind, being a fan of a dreadful University of Arizona football program makes me hope for as many good coaches as possible in the talent pool when we mercifully end the Mike Stoops era this December.

I don't believe any coach will ever replace Coach God (Ralph Shug Jordan ) or Coach God Jr. ( Pat Dye ) in the War Eagle faithful's minds. They ran Bobba Bowden's boy , Terry, out of town in the middle of a season in the middle of the night. Got some powerful boosters up there in Auburn, Al.

Then why did Bowden agree to leave so willingly, without bitterness or even defending his integrity? Wouldn't you fight back if someone was spreading lies about you publicly? I would.

Bowden meekly walked away. At worst, he's guilty as painted. At best, he's a wimp. Either way, Auburn is better off having fired him.
