Lance Armstrong agreed to ride in next year's Giro d'Italia, giving him a crucial test before his attempt to win an eighth Tour de France title. Armstrong announced last month that he is making a comeback after three years in retirement. The American has never competed in the three-week Giro, considered the sport's most prestigious stage race after the Tour de France.
