Arsenal will have the basis of a new defence returning to first-team football on Tuesday when Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and new £25 million signing Kieran Tierney are expected to play their first senior matches of the season. Nottingham Forest visit the Emirates in the third round of the English Football League Cup and, having played Eintracht Frankfurt and Aston Villa over the previous five days, manager Unai Emery wants to rest certain players. It is also a huge opportunity for Bellerin, Tierney and Holding to strengthen the fragile defence following injuries which have ruled them out of the start to the season.
