Wishful thinking Eric?

With no Koponen, have to go with Pruitt. We can't come out of this draft without a point guard prospect.

I picked Fazekas because he is tall and has a sweet stroke. Seems like a D'Antoni guy.

id rather wait for jordan in the 2nd round

You go ahead and do that--but I'm not going to hang my hopes on a marginal point guard talent being there at the 2nd to last pick of the entire draft. We barely like late 1st rounders, let alone late 2nd rounders.

I picked Fazekas because I didn't like anyone else on the board, but it would grind my gears if we gave guaranteed money to a guy like this.

Last I heard, Jordan was impressive in Orlando. I haven't heard anything about him since. Late in the season a Suns ball boy(I know I know) told me that he heard Dan D'Antoni talking very highly of him. I hope the Suns told him to lay low so they could pick him up with their second rounder or as a undrafted rookie. Probably wishful thinking on my part.

I wonder if the Suns would choose Brooks with this pick.

If we trade out of the draft except for this pick, I'd say it's Aaron Brooks or somebody they think can possibly play now. If they keep both first rounders, I'd guess it's Kopponen.

Not a big fan of short point guards. Brooks is only 6' tall.

I am going BPA here so give me Arron Affalo. Gabe Pruitt won't solve the point guard problem and Nick Fazekas is a SF in a PF's body.

Givony on his latest podcast says that the Blazers have four second round picks (highest is 37) and are inclined to trade up.

If I don't like the collection, I'd be inclined to trade down rather than reaching on some of these guys who are likely still going to be available at 37. The second pick could be used on someone like Ali Traore who could be left in France.

I agree with Afflalo, he's a good defender. You can put Raja on Manu and then Afflalo on Parker maybe. That would be good.

Actually, the range of players in the top of the second round is very close to the guys in the 20's; the definition of deep. However, don't expect these guys to be near lottery level guys. They are all flawed.

I picked Marcus Williams even though I don't like him.

Actually, I'd love to see Marcus go to New Jersey, just to see what they do with the jerseys.

After a coin flip, the Suns select Nick Fazekas.

Fazekas seems to me to be a guy who is best suited to play in Europe (zone defense, really good outside shooting by centers valued, etc.) My biggest fear with him is that he's slow with his rotations (think Little Jake with a jump shot).

So I'd be surprised if the Suns took him, though having a big who can shoot that well (think TT) is at least somewhat interesting to D'Antoni.
