Have they worked Yi out? I doubt it, if he won't work out for the Bucks. Im sure he and his agent don't want him going to one of the NBAs smallest markets, in the south of all places, so Charlotte may be leery.

I think Jeff Green is the BPA at this point, and if Charlotte wants to go smaller, or thinks he can play PF, he should be the pick. They could go w/ a line up of:

Okafor
Jeff Green/Sean May
Adam Morrison
Gerald Wallace
Raymond Felton

Plus he went to Georgetown, which continues the Bobcats 'tradition' of taking guys from successful, eastern schools.

Taking Green might mean they would not try to re-sign Gerald Wallace (move him in a sign and trade).

I haven't seen Green play, but his write-ups sound unremarkable. I don't really understand why the same people who are painting such a mediocre picture of him then place him so high in their mock drafts.

he's a jack of all trades master of none kind of player. nice skills for a 6'9 player, but is VERY unlikely to ever dominate.

as a hoya alum i always expected him to take the next step and become a superstar, but i think he just reached his ceiling. love him for what he gave my hoyas, but wouldn't draft him (or hibbert for that matter).

I've been curious about that too. His measurments at Orlando were a mixed bag. His wing span is pretty good at 7'1.25" but hardly exceptional and his standing reach at 8'7" is the same. He did 17 bench press reps and did quite well on jumping with a 33.5 no step vertical and a 38 max verticle. However, his 3/4 court sprint was very slow.

In college Green was used mostly at SF, but he seems better suited as a smallish PF. He's considered a very good ball handler, good shooter who can hit the three but not consistently, and good rebounder.

In a draft with a lot of guys who can't play for a while, Green should be able to play right away. I doubt he'll be more than a good complementary player, but he won't be a bust.
