Everybody, if there is at least a 10 vote advantage near the end of night, I will go to the 3rd choice, I wanted to do that last night but I screwed it up again :) and when I went to do another, it said I couldn't do that exact same Thread (I guess the Thread name) - I should've tried Pick #2 - instead of typing same header but we still have plenty of time...

When it becomes 2 a days - I'm not sure if to chose from 2 am-4 PM in the morning for the first one and then 4 PM-2 AM around that time is close to being fair? It will be somewhere around there, because of my schedule...

I say they take a PG based on team needs. I believe they need a PG and C and should have roughly $20 million in cap space.

I picked Paul.

BTW, great job so far, BbaLL_31

I'm going to check that roster, I know Josh Smith and Al Harrington is a pretty good Forward tandemn...

Marvin Williams is going #1. He's the consensus best player, and it's almost an axiom now that you never reach to fill a need at the top of NBA draft.

I guess I'll keep voting for Williams until he gets taken off the board. :)

To me, this is one of the bigger no-brainers in the draft.

The Hawks are a SG-SF heavy team. They have Childress, Smith and Harrington who all can play the SF position. Childress or Smith can play at SG, with the other playing SF (I think Childress is better suited for this slot) with Harrington manning the PF position.

What the Hawks do need badly is a PG. Tyronn Lue is at best servicable. Chris Paul is a next level type of guy.

Marvin Williams is dropping and with the Hawks having so many G/F - he could drop again...

Everybody can have their own method to chose, I usually pick who I think team should Pick (the last few years), others the Prospect you think team will Pick, and/or if there's a Trade to happen - the Prospect pegged for the Pick.

Thanks, Lancelet's.

I have read that the GM or Front office member is really high on Marvin Williams. The team could always Trade a Forward, I'm not voting yet...

Okay, with the ability to sign a numerous of F/C in FA, and no need for a F, I'm picking Chris Paul or Deron Williams... I really like D Williams but Paul is a little more explosive and can do everything D can (minus the size) and has a little more potential...

If anybody has noticed, I have been making Polls with the ability to see who picks who on the Poll... I'd rather have it that way.

Marvin Williams could easily take this Pick or easily the 1st but playing 1 year but being a role player in College, it's going to take a workout to impress the Front Office and being that well, we're fans - I haven't read anywhere that Bucks will select Marv yet.

I doubt he slips past #3 if he doesn't get pegged #2... Darius Miles can easily play the SG position... with has ballhandling, just don't expect him to shoot out there yet.

I'm not trying to steal your vote ;) but I didn't see your name on Chris Paul's selection, take your time though, I just read you had picked him.

You can read who picked who, which I think is pretty cool... by clicking the number of votes.

Unless everybody suddenly changes their mind about Williams, he's going #2 at the very worst.

Look at what happened last year. Okafor was the consensus best player at #2, but the Clippers didn't need him at all--they needed a PG. (Sound familiar?) Okafor didn't drop to #3, obviously.

I'm not convinced the Hawks won't trad down one or two slots. New Orleans at #4 have serviceable PG's in Dickau and Claxton but need a star offensive player to compete.

I went with Paul. My personal feeling is that Williams goes 1 and Bogut goes 2, but I will stick with the mock draft and try to adjust to the consensus.

If Williams doesn't go 1, the only way he goes 2 is if the Hawks trade out - or they trade one of a million SFs they have.

That's one of the sorriest NBA rosters I have ever seen. They do not have one NBA starter caliber player on it.

If you think there's a Trade, Pick the Prospect and the team you think he's going too... example:

Hawks Trade #2 to Suns for Jake Voskuhl ;) , the Suns select Marvin Williams with #2. You'd still Pick Marvin Williams but on your post in Thread, mention the Trade (rumored or not)... I tried to keep 15 choices, so there wouldn't be too many other choices - obviously there always will be but you'd still make Pick, just for another team...

Coloradosun, who did you envision being Picked at #2? I need to try to remember and Pick the team (if you'd like)... anybody can just mention Trade - if you're not sure on which team.

Al Harrington and Josh Smith aren't that bad? Smith is still raw but he can score and should become a decent defender, possibly a shotblocker and rebounder ala Marion...

If Williams is there they take him.

If they do not want him they can get a couple picks and take a point later. They are in a very good spot if Bogut goes on the first pick. I guess they could trade Bogut if he is there and they draft him, but they will not take a point here when they can improve there team with a possibility of getting two starters in the first round instead of one, by trading down just a couple picks.

Smith reminds me more of a Vince Carter type, where as Childress is more like Marion to me.

Maybe Charlotte trades up with them?
