Seriously, what is it with ASU players and guns? They might have to put a metal detector in the Sun Devil locker rooms.

Sun Devils' second-leading scorer kicked off teamAssociated Press
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Senior guard Bryson Krueger, the second-leading scorer for Arizona State last season, has been kicked off the team following his arrest for possession of a gun and various drugs.

Krueger, 22, was taken into custody early Wednesday after Tempe police said two Ecstasy pills, a Xanax painkiller pill, 4 grams of cocaine and an unregistered, loaded .40-caliber handgun were found in his car.

Officers responded after receiving calls Tuesday night from a city resident who claimed Krueger and another person were threatening him over a $250 debt, said Sgt. Dan Masters, a Tempe police spokesman.

Authorities said Friday that Krueger's case has been referred to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, which is investigating and could file criminal charges.

Arizona State announced Thursday that Krueger had been dismissed from the basketball program, citing unspecified off-court behavior.

The 6-foot-7 Krueger transferred to Arizona State from Prescott's Yavapai Community College and averaged 12.3 points last season.

I think that maybe a drug sniffing dog in the au locker rooms might help with their drug smuggling problems???

This article bothers me. In Arizona, there is NOTHING wrong with having a loaded pistol in your car that is not registered to you. NOTHING.

If you have the pistol concealed, then yes. However, you can put the gun in a holster and keep it in the glove compartment - perfectly legal. We don't live in a state that requires Gun registration. In fact, we don't live in a country that requires it. You can loan me your gun, I can throw it on the front seat and drive all around town. If a cop pulls me over for speeding, I will get a ticket for speeding... but the gun is legal (most likely the cop will want to see it and run it's serial number to make sure it is not reported stolen, but he can't take it from me... he will give is back, unloaded).

Of course... the drugs are illegal - ergo, the arrest.
