It all depends on the NCAA penalties.ASU doesn't have to be buried forever. It's a different era and programs can be turned around quickly with the correct hire and approach. Baylor being just one (of several) recent examples of coming back from the dead. The issue is more that no one can trust Ray Anderson to make a hire that's in the best interest of the university rather than his own.

Herm's problem was he was clueless. He hired people to handle the "college end" of things and he just basically coached the coaches. Herm didn't even know collegiate protocol and rules. But, they made him out to be a tremendous guy with great character, but just ignorant to the details and legalities of the college football world.
