My guess is Leavitt stays it, if ASU can provide similar NIL benefits, a winning program plus a bowl game. Kenny Dillingham has completely changed the environment at ASU.

Of course, ASU needs to keep Kenny Dillingham.
Perhaps that is the story line that nobody is talking about. Dillingham leaving for a “better” job. I feel like this year is a no for several reasons:

1. Even though I think loyalty means next to nothing any longer within college sports, I sense Kenny is actually as loyal as one can be. In this sense I think he is a bit of a unicorn.

2. I’m not sure how many “better” jobs may actually be open. Usually by now a few HCs have been whacked but not this year. I wonder if schools are pausing so see how things fall with the new player pay rules and the House resolution thing pans out.

3. I suspect Kenny will get a contract extension after this season. Earlier I mentioned Kenny’s loyalty to the program, such as it is, but the opposite is and can be true as well. The school is loyal to Kenny.

ASU OC Marcus Arroyo and DC Brian Ward have agreed to three-year contract extensions.

They average out to more than $1 million per year per Chris Karpman.
