3 games left for each. ASU is 5-4, UA is 4-5

ASU has home games against UCLA, WSU and the final game AT Arizona, so they need to win just one of the three to qualify.
Arizona has the tougher schedule left - Cal and ASU at home, on the road against Oregon.

UA = no

ASU = maybe.

Just think if the Devils lose to WSU and UCLA, the UA game results say whether or not they make a bowl game.

Yeah, since it's been so long that has happened.

Has it happened like this recently? I don't follow these teams close enough to know but taken in the micro-look of this season, this would make the game pretty significant.

ASU was 5-5 going into last year's Debacle in the Desert. Also happened 1998 - 2001 I believe.

mao is correct, and now that ASU is eligible, and ua is almost eligible...just as usuall the game will mean something...although it won't mean as much as any of us ASU or UA fans want it to mean.
