I think Keller is going to be a good QB.
I'm really excited to see what kind of defense they field next year too.

I fell asleep in the first half, but what a finish!

Keller looks pretty ugly throwing the ball sometimes, but he sure is a cocky SOB. He really set himself up to lead this squad next year. I was afraid the team would take a big step back next year, but now I'm nore hopeful.

I thought we were doomed after CBS showed Keller as player of the game for his "first career win"...all with 2 minutes left in the game and us punting. That was the biggest jinx-job I've ever seen in my life. Were the CBS producers Purdue fans or what? Oh well, what a "drive".

Keller looked up and down all day. His mechanics looked terrible at times and he looked just as slow in the pocket as Walter. He also missed two touchdowns because of overthrows, one to Hagan and one to Richards. Way too many batted balls. But he showed nice touch on both of the screens to Rudy and after all it was only his first ever start. He should only get better. And you have to give props to our D. They dominated the first half and came up with a couple big plays in the second half also.

With our depth at WR I hope we keep Rudy at RB. He wants to be back there and he has proved to be very difficult to tackle so far. Hopefully he'll put on some pounds in the offseason so he can take the beating.

I drove the 4 + hours to the Sun Bowl to watch the game and wasn't disappointed. The Devils should have had a 2 TD lead at halftime but just couldn't seem to make a play when they needed it. It was great to see them finish strong, they deserved the win more than Purdue.

The tipped balls by Keller were frustrating and he really needs work on throwing those outs but overall you have to be happy with a guy making his first college start. I did think Rudy desevred the MVP over Keller but all that matters in the end was the win.

My only complaint with the game was the ignorant El Paso fans who insisted on throwing crap the entire game, whether they were paper airplanes or just balled up pieces of paper. It just seemed to me that they had no idea a football game was going on and made me wonder how many tickets were just given away. Why pay for a game if you have no interest in whats going on?

I saw that on tv, too. They were showing a crowd shot for some reason and there was some kid throwing a paper airplane. You rarely see that at a game, and it's usually at the end of a blowout or something. Weird.

So, what are the expectations for the Devils next year?

Most of the D returns, Keller seems like a winner, Hagan should be back, Burgess can flat out make people miss, the new DC won't mess around, Carrier has an impact, the o-line gets another year, solid redshirts are unleashed, etc.

The Pac-10 is going to be tough.

Top 15 to begin the year?

heh

Just like the U of Eh fans on rattracks, its kind of funny to see UA fans insist they're much better

I tend to think a 75% winning record is better than a 27%

Good luck with your argument though, I seriously doubt you'll swade anyone's opinion.

20 out of 21 ASU whips UA...count on it! We wont lose to the UA again till the 2020's...even then it could go on!

Stoops out 2007.
