Injuries..

Suspect that Green and Darling will play next week, Clancy's groin has been bothering him

positives to come out of the game?

Green: Hard fought game, glad that they were held to 16 points. Physical game, Edge gave us the chance to win, with 1st round runs. Special teams was a stalemate.

when asked about starters next week:

Green: Have not thought about who the starting players are. Personnel is usually something done on Tuesday.

...cant succeed when you score 14 points. 24 points in two weeks isn't enough. Turnovers took points right off of the board.

There are some things that we did not do defensively to keep them from getting in a rythmn. There was also things that we did that kept us from getting into a rythmn.

When asked about Edge mentioning not getting enough touches...

Green: Great competitor, it is possible for him to get more touches, but a starting back is only going to get so many carries.

Asked about a blaming Kurt for the loss..

Green: One person is never to blame for the loss. Green is responsible for everything.

When asked about the penalty at the end of the game....

Green: The official felt that the Rams did not understand what was explained to them, so the gave them a second chance.

Reported noticed that they ran more 2 TE sets....

Green: Hoped it would help the running game more. Did not have 100+ like we liked, but ran more on 1st. Ran on 3rd as well.

When asked about a curse...

Green: He doesn't think that it is part of a curse. When you dont win enough, you start to think that though.

How do you get a team to bounce back?

Green: We are 1-2, Carolina is 1-2. Make the plays that you are capable of playing and playing better. We were not a good team yesterday, not a good team last week.

When asked about the snapping problem, is there not chemistry between Alex and Kurt?

Green: There ought to be chemistry. It is hard to explain, the ball should not hit the ground.

Were we thinking touchdown at the end of the game?

Green: No, all he thought about was that they had used their last time out, and that they could not stop the clock. "I did not give a damn if we were 5 yards back, would kick it at 9 seconds left". And kickoff with 5 seconds left and the game would be over.

A QB decision something that he will decide tomorrow?

Green: Does not discuss personnel on Mondays. They will have a staff meeting tomorrow and go from there.

End.

Well, there you go Cubbie, and others. Green has admitted it's his fault. Now, the wins will really start to roll in right? I mean, it did wonders last season when he took responsibility for the poor play. :bang:

i have a feeling that green going to have a full contact practice this week. it showed that the cardinals players were getting tired. wind sprints and 5 man sleds are in the cardinals future this week. throw in some live tackling drills and you will see some better performances againist the falcons.

And what would you say as a coach; "I did my job, they didn't do theirs"? He's not airing out any dirty laundry - and he shouldn't.

Basically, that's what some people have said Green does. Blames only others, never himself.

And the odds of Leinart starting next week rise dramatically with that comment.

Green doesn't like leaving points on the field...he prides himself in being a coach whose teams put up big numbers. He jerked McCown for not doing well with the offense. He has little patience with that historically.

Couple that with the comments of they look at personnel on Tuesdays, and not saying "Kurt is the QB of this team" like he usually does, well, I think this is the lowest we are going to see Leinart stock so buy now. It seems that the Leinart option is on the table for the staff, and they will evaluate it tomorrow. I'm on record as saying that if it is on the table, you might as well pull the trigger and not waste any more time. The team can and will rally around Matt...the sooner the better.

Aj, it really is funny, on every station last night here in Phx they showed Green giving his...unhappy Badass day speech and how he had never been so mad...but only one time did they show the ending of that speech...where he said I am mad at the coach....because I am responsible. It made it seem like he was mad at everyone else but he took the blame then. It was really unfair reporting....something that Bickley or Jurecki would report out of context...making it seem that he was all over blaming the players and not blaming himself, when in fact he was taking the blame for the poor play.

I saw that too Rats. Green genuinely looked "mad" at himself. I liked that, and he made himself look human. Perhaps he will step out of his box and look around a bit more as to why the Cardinals are still sucking.
