Automatic logoff time

I couldn't find anything in my settings, so here is my question: why do I get automatically logged out so quickly? I'll read some comments in a thread, hit 'reply', and type out my comment. Then I hit 'post reply' and I get the message telling me I don't have the right to do this - since I'm not logged in. In other words I have to type my comment in notepad or word, log out, log back in, and then post my message.

What is the amount af time before a forum member is automatically logged out - and can it be extended? Seems to me that it should at least be long enough to type a comment.

The way to avoid this is to click on the "Remember Me" checkbox the next time you log in. This is in the upper right corner of the board where it asks for your username/pw. Make sure your browser/firewall etc... allows ASFN permission to drop a cookie on your computer.
