At first I wasn't really excited about the new graphics on all of the new systems. I feel like we're okay as it is, and I really don't feel like shelling out another $400. But, that is pretty damn impressive.

From the appearance of the field, other backgrounds and some of the other photos in general,
this player model kinda sucks, i wouldnt say it looks like mccown at all. the bodys have great detail but dont look perportioned right.
The rest looks awesome

McCown looks like Tom Brady, only if he would play like Tom Brady
LMAO, he does look like him.

They even did the Mexico game. Wow. But I don't see Green Stickers on the helmets. They got Boldin down, for sure.

Anyone know how much the games will be. I saw some zombie game that looked sweet, too. $50.00 same as now, I sure hope they don't jump up to like 100 a pop.

It'll be $60 for your average 360 game.

It's a damn shame all anyone cares about is graphics anymore. Madden 06 is still plagued with all the real world defying physics that plagued all the previous versions. Balls are still magically deflected before anyone touches them. Balls still magically change trajectory near the sideline and drop vertically because the computer has previously determined that the catch should be complete. Passes still travel through torsos. Blitzers will still turn away from a ball carrier and engage an offensive lineman BEHIND them.

You can't polish a turd.

My PC is already capable of these graphics. The Half Life source engine looks just as nice as this and I played that last year.

Of course, the PC Madden doesn't have graphics like this. :(

This is the first year I didn't buy it, but the season is young.

I think the graphics look week, I'm sure that is a replay and not actual game play. Does not look much better then X-Box or PS2. Weak ass graphics

Just the other night I was playing and the ball went through my DB's chest to the covered WR's hands that were half way sticking in my body, horrible collision detection

I agree, but there's a better selection of games on the consoles than the PC. If you liked Half Life 2, check out a new game called F.E.A.R. It's not out yet, but the multiplayer demo has been released and is available in a lot of places. Best graphics ever on the PC.

You're right about the current Madden 06 that was released recently. But the new one for the Xbox 360 (and eventually the PS3) is a completely new game with a completely new engine.

So, probably a completely new set of problems :biglaugh:

For the time being, I'm happy with NFL2k5  We'll see what happens though when the Xbox360 comes out and I can't keep the $400 from burning a hole in my pocket.

I love Madden (haven't bought one yet though), but 2K5 has been sduiting me just fine. The one thing I hate on 2K5 though is that you can't change the position a player plays; Griffith at FS instead of SS.

Aren't ya glad that all EA ever does is a piss poor port of the console versions for the PC?
