Lol are you talking about the thread you made?

Yes, some people have turned on Arians already, doesn't make them right. I don't make hasty decisions and prefer to wait it out and calmly assess and that process tells me that it's all going to be okay

Yes it may have been hasty but alot of my posts right after games where we let marginal teams beat us are hasty . I like Arians go for it attitude but He is now being stubborn. We have lost atleast 5 games where ST and coaching woukd have won. Yes I might come across as let's.get ridnof him but how many times during games have you been pissed saying it's 3rd and 1 and we are throwing a 30yard pass to Floyd who drops 75% of the balls in his hands. He never uses rbs to help block and how many times have you yelled at the TV because Palmer has 1 Mississippi before he gets crushed by the same guy who has crushed him the entire game. There is no adjustments. We best Washington right....well if the 4th down play fails ...he is in trouble....but the bigger and really luckier play was the deep ball to Nelson. It worked but was a horrible call. And the ball was thrown into double coverage. It just happened to work that game.

I agree that his loyalty is biting him in the ass, but I'm not advocating he be fired like you are. You're speaking nonsense, I have faith we'll right the ship in the off-season.
BA needs to be reminded of my screen name.

It may get interesting if nothing else. If BA really is adamant about him staying and SK and MB get involved, we could have a mexican standoff on our hands! It will be the most exciting contest of the season lol.

I really don't care. I still, (pretty much) trust that BA knows how to coach football in a manner that can be successful. Maybe they all just bought in way too hard this year and a little humble pie will do them good.

Hows that for optimism! :p

Seriously tho, SK should be on notice. Next years draft cannot be a complete and total wash like this years. This team needs help now we cant afford to keep sitting draft picks an entire season.

How are we as high as 16th in kick return yards? Everything is either a touchback to the 25 or a run out of the end zone to the 17 yard line.

What went wrong this year? Organizational Arrogance.

BA's act is starting to wear thin on a lot of fans. Constantly criticizing players thru the media, ie, it's always the players fault, etc. I know he wouldn't criticize a coach thru the media, so why do it to players? If I'm getting tired of it, I'm SURE players are rolling their eyes.

No accountability for coaches, especially if they are life-long friends.

That is just the Average yards per return.

If you want we are #28 in total kickoff return yards this year.

“It’s been a snap or a punt or a kick all year,” Arians said when asked about special team struggles.

"The one thing, coaches don’t do any of those things. So there won’t be any coaching changes. All right, let me make that perfectly clear today. They don’t snap, hold or kick. Players do those jobs.”

When asked if that meant there would be no changes on his staff in the offseason either, Arians said “yeah. Unless guys get (other) jobs.”

No in the history of the NFL a coach has never been fired because of players underperforming? WOW!

This is the epitome of arrogance. If a coach's entire squad isn't snapping well, holding well, or kicking well it flows uphill. Means the coach is failing to do SOMETHING. I'm starting to sour on BA.

If the coaches are not at fault for the play of the players then it's Keim's fault for bringing in those players who can't snap, punt, hold or kick.

Truth. And to be clear I have not once advocated for BA to be fired, but this situation is beyond bizarre.

When you have a manager who clearly favors people, it creates a toxic work environment. Your manager can be the biggest jerk in the world but as long as you feel they are fair, you can deal with it. But when people are held to different standards, it's like a cancer that eats away your team and divides it, creates resentment, jealousy, anger...

This is not going to end well unless BA calms the eff down and stops acting like a defiant, stubborn old man and starts acting like a smart, professional football coach.

Look at Amos Jones work history. He's basically done nothing but follow BA around his entire professional life. Same with Drew Butler, he was a punter for the Steelers under Amos and BA and now he's here and they are both Constantly and passionately defended by BA in the media. It's the very definition of Cronyism.

As a comparison to BA, here is a Bellichek quote from today, speaking on his punt returner who made a big mistake:

“[W]e have confidence in all of our players,” Belichick told reporters. “We’ve seen [Matthew] Slater fumble before. We’ve seen [Tom] Brady throw an interception before, too. We’ll always do what we feel is best for the football team based on the situation and the particular game and what we’re dealing with.”

What’s best for the football team during a punt is pretty clear to Belichick.

“Of course once the ball hits the ground, we don’t want to be near the ball and have that hit us,” Belichick said. “That goes for everybody. . . . We turned the ball over three times, and that’s three too many. So we’ve got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing to eliminate those turnovers.”

As it relates to punts, the message remains simple.

“I mean any punt returner, once we don’t field the ball then we have to get out of the way and keep it from hitting us,” Belichick said. “Yeah, that’s a fundamental thing.”

Huge difference. The way BA is handling failure is going to have the players turn against him.

I would be irritated if Amos is here next year, but I am disappointed in BA's handling of the situation much more so.

Interestingly enough the articles in the paper have been pretty harsh. We're not the only ones who are seeing the elephant in the room.

the thing with STs is that it hasnt been just this year --

its been a four year issue ---

its become a hot issue because:

1. In years prior, the team overcame the ST issues and won
2. This year, its been especially bad

Arians second year the STs were average for the NFL which has been the high point of the tenure.

Whoaaa.... I didn't even know that Butler was with them in Pittsburgh. That explains a lot!

ST cost us at least 2 Playoff appearances and 1 Playoff game against the Panthers.

And maybe some games in the years we were in the playoffs. This year it cost us again a playoff spot, like the first year of BA's tenure.

But denying that Amos is at fault, that Butler isn't NFL ready ... that Wile would be an big upgrade, and since Butler isn't a sure ball catcher or ball placer he has nothing to do on the team.

Keim wouldn't have brought in Players if he himself thought that Butler is great, he was very critical, so I do not know if Keim isn't that happy with some aspects of how the team is coached & run. From the doghouse for Rookies & #1 round players, to the ST fiascos with KR especially brought in and never performing but when going back to theire old team being back to the top of the league ...

If I would be the GM I would ask many questions around my scouting department and ask myself how other teams get to perform 3-4 Rookies and my coach doesn't get 1 to perform expect a Starter and the backup get injured ... or he has a "beloved" player ...
