Backstrom centers on Everett Backstrom (Rainn Wilson), an "overweight, offensive, irascible" Portland Police Bureau detective who is engaged in a constant struggle with his "self-destructive" tendencies, and is part of a team of eccentric criminologists.

I wanted to like this but didn't even finish the 1st episode. Just felt boring.

He just kept making wild guesses that would come true and the whole show felt stale to me. At least someone liked it I guess.

Wife and I decided to pass just based on the commercials. Did not look interesting at all. Looked like "House" as a detective (only played by someone less talented than Hugh Laurie).
