In 1983, veteran Baton Rouge detective Bud Carter infiltrates the most powerful criminal enterprise in the South. After taking down its top lieutenant, contract killer Jesse Weiland, the detective convinces him to become an informant.

Surprised at the low ratings. I thought it was a solid film with some nice acting, especially Matt Dillon. Nice and slow and gritty. Based on a true story.
