Bad sound on computer?

When I listen to a CD or an MP3 file on my computer it sounds all garbled and scratchy. When I listen to streaming audio it sounds fine?

Anybody know why?

Have you checked to see if you have the latest drivers for your sound card or onboard sound device? Lot's of time's it can be drivers that give you mixed sound performance.

Make sure if you don't you actually remove the old drivers before installing the new ones. See if that helps.
