This morning I got a rude shock when I put in my USB drive and the contents are now all a bunch of empty folders with random characters. However, the USB drive says it has about 400mb on it, so I am presuming my data is still somewhere on it, I just can't access it. Is there any way to recover this data? I have a ton of school stuff on there that I need :bang:

I have had success mounting a corrupted USB drive on a linux partition. The USB drives use FAT as their file system so it is fairly easy to mount. Other than that I haven't been able to recover.

This isn't by chance a Lexar is it?
