I might have missed this buried deep within the sixteen page thread on the game, but I'm still wondering if anyone knows why Barbosa saw no minutes last night?

FJ liked him in the preseason. Could it be the hip? Or was it a dispensation to Casey J? A bad move, in that case....Not sure he would have been a difference-maker, but he might have helped with that dry spell in the second quarter....

I also wanted to see Barbosa in there, especially since Knight was so ineffective. I think FJ might have been resting him because of the bruised hip from practice, but he might have thought Barbosa would have too many rookie mistakes and cost the Suns the game (although he did leave Zarko in there at crunch time and he had a missed shot and costly turnover).

My guess is that we are still showcasing Knight for trade purposes. I really don't have a problem with that.

Lets get the Knight trade done, see what we get, and get into the long term rotation.

Good point, JC, but no minutes for Barbosa, at all? A weird call--win games now or showcase possible trade-bait to win in the future?

I'm going to assume he's still hurting and give FJ a pass for now.
