What gives?

Huh? What does that have to do with anything?George O'Brien said:The smaller heigth was repeated so often that it was often accepted as true. In any case, Charles relied on his strength more often than his heigth.
One other thought - Charles did not play during the recent period when "small" forwards are often extremely tall. In fact, Adrian Dantley was undoubtedly smaller than Barkley and he was the starter on a Pistons team that won the championship.

It is also believed that Jordan is not 6'6", that he is closer to 6'4".
An equally important question might be - what difference does it make how tall Barkley was?SameOleGee said:Huh? What does that have to do with anything?
I guess my point was/is. Did the teams Chuck played for say he was shorter so the opposition wouldnt consider him a threat? Or did the police lie? Cuz in the profile pic he is 6'8", but in the straight foward pic he is 6'7". Im surprised no one noticed that. Somewhere, someone is lying. Look at the pic again.George O'Brien said:An equally important question might be - what difference does it make how tall Barkley was?
It might be a relevant issue if we are asking whether Marion is tall enough to play defense against some of the really tall forwards like Dirk. Barkley and Dantley were shorter than the guys they played against, but found ways to be effective.
It would be nice if there was independent group that measured every player using the same methodology, but then what would we argue about?
