Or confidence?

I have no problem and the media will blow it out of proportion.

Stanton could be Brady or Differ if the results are the same

What's he supposed to say? "Well, since Palmer is out, the bar is lowered. It's now ok if someone else dresses in our locker room at the Super Bowl."

Again, doom and gloom.

only problem with the above is that Dilfer played on a team with one of the top 2 greatest defenses of all time and had a killer running. We have a very opportunistic D and not much of a running game.

as to Brady, pretty sure that Pats D was ranked top 5 as well, and... he's Tom Brady.

all that said, if anyone can get this ragtag group of guys who leave it all on the field every game, it's one guy... BRUCE ALMIGHTY!

I ain't going woe is me... not by a long shot. In Bruce I trust.

The good thing is this team does not appear to be built on any one player. Tonight calais and pp21 were the stars, next week could be someone totally different. I certainly hope we can overcome this recent huge injury, but i do not think Arians is blowing smoke when he says we can do it without Palmer.

Agree but I do think BA believes it as well. He has an almost unhealthy belief in himself and I'd bet he does believe he can coach this group to a SB victory.

Look, if Davis can QB the Rams over the Niners and Seahawks... then at the least I still think we can win our division, because I'm going to go out on a limb and say Stanton is better than Davis :D

I bet there were people casually watching the game at home that didn't even realize Palmer had been replaced with Stanton. Stanton came right in firing the ball and the offense didn't miss a beat.

Defensive stops and hitting the occasional bomb has been our team all season. It really only takes connecting on 2-3 bombs a game for us to win most games. I think Stanton is capable of that. Less capable than Palmer but capable still.

I'll buy a fedora, and a Drew Stanton jersey if he takes us that far.

Thus far, Bruce Arians has not done one thing to cause us not to be atop the NFL. We are 8-1 with seven games remaining. We lost to one team, on the day when their QB was on a huge hot streak, and we started our backup QB, and finished with our third stringer. We were still within 4 points in the 4 quarter. We won again today with our backup QB.

I'll not be calling Arians out because NO ONE has yet done it better than he has in this entire league this year. Next man up.

My thought s go back to when Unitas got hurt and Morrell came in to take the Baltimore Colts to the Super Bowl. It can be done.

Or when Griese got hurt and Morrall came in to take the Miami Dolphins to the Super Bowl. That was the year the Dolphins were undefeated.

There! Examples found! It can happen, therefore it will happen.

If I'm not mistaken, the Cardinals were losing when Palmer got hurt and he was not having one of his best days.

True, execution wasn't there, but the game plan was. A lot of teams have to change their offensive strategy when they bring in a backup QB. They usually call a running play (or two) for the QB coming in cold off the bench. Not the Cards. First play for Stanton: play-action pass for 11 yards. 3-for-3 for 85 yards and a TD on his first drive of the game. Not too shabby.
