Evidently, Baseball America isn't as high on the Clemson Tigers as they were this time last week, even after a 3-1 week that included another series victory in ACC play.
Despite an eight-game win streak that ended with Sunday's 11-6 loss to Stanford, Baseball America dropped the Tigers one spot in their latest 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament bracket and field of 64 projections Wednesday.
The Tigers (33-6 overall, 11-4 ACC) are the No. 6 in the latest projections, one spot behind a familiar name: the North Carolina Tar Heels. UNC baseball grabbed the No. 5 seed after a big series sweep of Wake Forest last weekend in Chapel Hill. Carolina (29-8, 11-7) scored 31 runs in the three games, posting back-to-back wins of 11-1 and 17-1.
Clemson, ranked No. 2 in Perfect Game's Top 25 this week and No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, is one seed ahead of the streaking Auburn Tigers, the projected No. 7 seed by Baseball America. Earning one of the top eight national seeds would guarantee Clemson of hosting a Super Regional, if the Tigers win their four-team, double-elimination on-site regional.
Baseball America currently puts the Kansas Jayhawks (28-10), Kentucky Wildcats (20-14), and Florida A&M (19-15) in Clemson's updated regional forecast.
The Texas Longhorns are the No. 1 overall seed in Baseball America's new NCAA Tournament outlook, followed by the reigning champion Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks.
Clemson is the projected No. 3 overall seed in D1 Baseball's latest NCAA Tournament projections, trailing only top seed Texas and No. 2 seed Arkansas. D1 Baseball has the Tigers hosting Kentucky, West Virginia (31-4) and Central Connecticut State (22-5) in the four-team Clemson regional. North Carolina, ranked No. 10 in the Coaches Poll, is the No. 12 seed in the D1 Baseball projections.

Clemson returns to ACC play Thursday when they host the No. 19 Louisville Cardinals (27-9, 9-6) in the opener of a Top 25 series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
The Tigers head into Easter Weekend trailing only Georgia Tech (14-4) in the ACC standings and are tied with No. 8 ranked Florida State (11-4) for second.
