Well, because he signed a major league deal, he is automatically on the 40 man roster, so I don't think he'll be in the minors long. Next year at the latest I would guess.

They definitely signed him with the intention of keeping him on the fastest track possible. I can't imagine him struggling in the minors. If you dominate the Pac the way he did, you're not going to be shell-shocked in Double A.

Bauer fired two scoreless innings in his professional debut, as the Rawhide rolled to an 11-2 victory over the Stockton Ports Saturday night at Recreation Park.
Bauer, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft, faced eight batters and allowed just one hit. He struck out three and issued one walk.
