Baylor hires Houston's Briles as coach (AP)

Houston coach Art Briles is the next to take on the task of pulling Baylor out of the Big 12 basement. Briles' hiring was confirmed Wednesday by a person with direct knowledge of the situation who spoke on condition on anonymity because the formal announcement had not be made. Baylor spokesman Nick Joos said the school had called a news conference scheduled for later in the day on the Waco campus...
