Is Torin Francis healthy yet? I have tuned into several Notre Dame games lately specifically for the purpose of watching him, but he hurt his back a few weeks ago. When I watched him last season I find he might be one of the best power forward prospects in NCAA this season. He looked to have good size and strength when I saw him.

Actually have yet to see him in action since Connecticut game - when I was disappointed putting in tape to find him hurt after 6-7 minutes... that would've been a good test for Francis. The other game was earlier this year.

Most of these players, I have game film of (I'm basketball junkie - behind Suns games and a few extra tapes) but only watch 10-20 minutes of each game, with a few the whole game (UofA most games) - so list can be a little out of place but I tried my best.

Andrew Bogut is a good prospect, and would probably get taken early just because he is international, but from what I have seen of him this year, he is way to inconsistant to make a splash in the NBA if he came out early. He is definately a pro prospect but I think that he should stay in college at least another year to develop.

On that same note, pro teams seem to have no problems taking a prospect like him (since he has great talent) to develop him. Frankly, this is what I blame the poor play level in the NBA too, all of the young prospects that are being developed by teams. It has been said before on this board that the Suns are basicly a very good college team right now.

The Suns may be very inexperienced, but there is no way a college player (even Okafor) is going to stop Amare, let alone JJ and Shawn.

I've already mentioned being impressed with Kirk Synder (hadn't seen him when made list) well there is another in NIT:

Herve Lamizana F Rutgers
PTS 13.4 REB 7.7 AST 1.9 STL .9 BLK 2.9
26 3PTers MADE FG .40 FT .70 3PT .30

Excellent athlete, long, 6'10, quick, shotblocker (2.9), can defend PF/SF,
3PT shooter for bigman, can pull-up at Free-throw line with ball fakes or penetrate all the way in 2 dribbles, good post-up player, can face basket, excellent passer and ball handler, runs the court well

comparison [Cliff Robinson]

If Phoenix trades pick and have Cleveland's available - yet another prospect moving up my draft board.

I agree.
Eddie Johnson is great to listen to about young players, and he said that they just do not realize the speed of the NBA. (along with the rough play)

From what I have observed with McDyess, he is a true 6'10" with Amare being about 6'9+". The official height of Amare was 6'10" at the NBA checkin. I really doubt that! But, it does not matter, the guy can play!!

I have always had a thing about the height of players in the NBA. I always wonder why they do not give the right height. Many of the players are not the height they are advertised at.
The NBA scouts pull their hair out when they scout the college players and find out the are a couple inches less than advertised.

Tonight I am going to watch Okafor again and see if I can tell how tall he really is. I would like to see him be 6'10" tall, but I think he is 6'8" instead.
This guy is a real player and it probably will not matter with his playing time, except, the suns need a center worse than another power forward and if he is available to them this is critical to the suns.
I am sure the suns will get the first pick in the draft! :D :D

The game last night was another example of having a 7' center that can block some shots and get put backs. The sixers center is exactly what the suns need. Score on putbacks and play defense.
The Cleveland game was also the same with the center. When their center went out the game was the suns for the taking, but before that it was anybodys game. You can not teach height......have any of you heard that before?? :) :) :) :)

Vanderbilt has a power forward advertised at 6'10", so this might be a good time to see the height of both of them. Hakim Warrick is supposed to be 6'8" tall and Okafor and he appeared to be the same height when they played against each other.

I wish they would measure how long the player's arms are in addition to heigth. Dalembert is listed at 6'11" but his arms make him look like he's 7'2". Little Jake is listed at 6'11" but his arms aren't very long and he plays shorter.
