You don't teach that kind of vision...The great ones have it--he's got a long way to go, but oh what tools he has to work with..

On the first run, he exploded to the corner, almost overrunning his angle.

the one negative on Beanie was the first run he went out of bounds instead of cutting it up. But apparently from post game comments the ankle is still bothering him and they suspected he went out largely because he was afraid to make a hard cut to stay inbounds there, not fear of getting hit, fear of the ankle not holding up.

I loved him in college and I loved him in this game. As someone else said you can't teach vision, he seems to have it and for a big guy he has an ability to make the first guy miss. He's one of those make em miss in a phonebooth kind of runners a very small move that avoids the hit and he's gone upfield. and except for the first carry, he finished every run hard. That's what I love about Tim so far this year he's finishing every run. You get 2 young RB's who run that hard it's fun to watch and probably fun to block for them.

You can't underestimate the offensive lines outlook on run blocking. I've noticed that they really seem to be enjoying that part of the game.

To know that if you do your job a big play can result must make it just that more worthwhile and satisfying.

Ya, I think they like it, they're starting to believe they're good at it, and they're excited. So am I.

I wasn't a true believer in Beanie initially. I think he has injury issues and I wasn't sure how his play would translate to the NFL. However after watching him against the Packers I can say he answered one of my questions.

I love how the kid set up his blocks. I love how he was decisive and didn't dance like a rookie. He would make one cut and Boom! He showed good speed for a big back. Now if he can just stay healthy I think we may have something special.

Beanie was one of the lone bright spots in that game, and boy was that one helluva bright spot. Another thing I liked is that his long TD run was set up by...you guessed it...a tight end! Both the G and T pulled out, and the play would have been blown up in the backfield if TE Anthony Becht hadn't had a beautiful seal block to set the end for the run. Outstanding stuff!

Leinart was a bright spot, no?

.

I dunno Russ

I have a hard time criticizing that run -- the defender had him boxed against the sideline, and he stepped out after an 11 yard run instead of turning it upfield for a 13 yard run.

He does that on a 2nd and 13, or in the 4th quarter when you want the clock to keep running -- maybe then, but not in that game.

He absolutely was. That's why Beanie was 'one' of the lone bright spots ;) I've already praised Leinart in other threads.

:bang:

Trying to read everything..... skipping one little word makes all the difference. Ugh. :D
