The Chicago Bears continued their busy offseason by adding to their wide receiver room on Thursday, signing veteran Olamide Zaccheaus to a one-year deal. Zaccheaus comes to Chicago after spending this past season with the Washington Commanders.

The signing of Zaccheaus does leave a question about the pending status of veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen, who openly expressed interest in returning to Chicago in 2025. Zaccheaus brings veteran experience and playmaking ability where he will likely slot in as the team's third option at wide receiver behind DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. With Allen's status up in the air, Zaccheaus will be provided opportunities to make plays next season.

Following the signing of Zaccheaus, here's a look at the wide receiver depth for the Bears:

DJ Moore

The undoubted top target for quarterback Caleb Williams, DJ Moore should be in line for quite the season with new head coach Ben Johnson. In 2024, Moore had a total of 98 catches, 966 yards, and six touchdowns in what was a disappointing season for the team overall. With a new head coach in place, Moore will continue to be the team's top wide receiver who should see a rise in production.

Rome Odunze

Heading into his second season, Rome Odunze should see more of a workload, especially if Allen doesn't return. His rookie campaign was not the most consistent but he showed up at times when it mattered most, whether it was crucial downs, or was heavily targeted in the game. As a rookie, Odunze totaled 54 receptions, 734 yards, and three touchdowns.

Coming in on a one-year deal, Zaccheaus comes to Chicago after one season with the Commanders, where he had quite the production in a limited role. Zaccheaus recorded 45 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns, and he has scored a touchdown in every season in his career. In his past four seasons, Zaccheaus has totaled 11 touchdowns, while playing two seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, and one each with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.

Tyler Scott

When the Bears traded Robert Quinn to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, they used the acquired fourth-round pick on Tyler Scott, but he's yet to show his full potential. Scott stepped up this past season as a return specialist and could find himself back in a similar role next year for the young speedster.

Maurice Alexander

An off-and-on member of the Detroit Lions practice squad since 2022, Maurice Alexander signed a reserve/future contract with the Chicago Bears in January.

Samori Toure

During his two seasons with the Packers, Toure played in a total of 22 games, grabbing 13 catches, 160 yards, and one touchdown. Toure was signed to a reserve/future contract by Chicago in January.
