I gotta tell you, if we were to win this series and get SWEPT in the Finals I could care less. Living in LA for the past week has been UNBEARABLE. The Laker fans are so ridiculously obnoxious and the media's worse. We're basically the cute team, the little engine that could that's about to get blown off the tracks by the super train coming straight for us. And let me tell you something...
IT FREAKING SUCKS
My roommates has already turned out Broom into a "Sweep"-Poster, denigrating Steve Nash and keeps sweeping up next to me... and I love him to death, but he deserves to die right now. However, the only way that's gonna happen is if this team shocks the world and it all begins with tomorrow night.
I believe if we take their breath away tomorrow night, we WILL win this series. This Laker team, for all their talent, STILL has VERY fragile egos. What other NBA defending champion is still so bitter about losing to a team who was CLEARLY better than them and even with that being said is RINGLESS? You put just a crack into that fake hollywood bravado and this team WILL crumble like Andrew Bynum's knee, calf and/or vagina. Kobe will go back to shooting 29 times a game, Pau will start grousing and Phil will start complaining even more about the refs.
It's actually Phil's starting of the war or words that tell me he's worried about this series, just as he was in the Thunder series. Notice you didn't hear a peep out of him against the Jazz... that's because Phil doesn't say squat when he knows he has the upper hand.
This Laker team is beatable. People talk about their size, and it's there... but only 2/3s of it is going to formidable as Bynum's knee keeps getting worse and worse and then what? They have two 7 footers and we have an active 7 footer who's insane and will put butts on the ground with Lopez, we have another 7 footer who can draw out the D with the 3 and we have the biggest offensive 6'10 beast in the league... that size discrepancy isn't what the rest of the media is making it out to be... which is just fine with me and I'm sure is fine with the Suns.
We CAN WIN tomorrow. We just have to get over the initial nerves bound to jump into our throats tomorrow night around tip-off. Stay in the game, settle and let the pressure of being overwhelming favorite CHOKE the Lakers to death. We saw a younger, less experienced team push the Lakers towards an abyss in the first round. Now it's time for a seasoned team to kick them in!
Please God. I beg of you... my show is staring at very long odds... don't let LA kick me in the teeth TWICE tomorrow.
BEAT LA! BEAT LA!
