I recently watched this one. Decent movie. It's very strange watching the total goofball Owen Wilson play a serious role.

During the period while filming, was the first time in 104 years that Slovakia did not get snow, so all the snow seen in the film was created by special effects.

It took me about 15 minutes not to laugh when Owen talked. He just strikes me as funny, no matter what.

I liked this movie, IIRC.

This was actually the first Owen Wilson I ever saw so I didn't have a problem taking him seriously. I really enjoyed it.

I don't think so. Wilson has a cockyness about him. Thats what they were looking for. A wise cracking "I have it all figured out" kind of mentality.

Sometimes a guy has enough "other stuff" that he doesn't need to be physically flawless. He has a lot of charisma--he doesn't have to fix his nose to be desirable.
