Being a Colts fan would be harder to stomach than being a Cards fan.

At least with the Cards, by week 5-6 you know your done most years.

To me.. That beats having your hopes built up all year, then getting a swift kick in the nootz every post-season.

eh, maybe not.

Yeah no. I used to be a Broncos fan before the Cards got here, and let me tell you, the humiliations to the Giants/Skins/9ers were much easier to take.

The Vanderjagt miss...makes one wonder about the bad karma he created two-three years ago when he basically tagged Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy as too soft to win the big one.

Yeah, he apologized about it...but isn't it ironic that his miss potentially cost the Colts the best chance they have ever had of winning the big one.

When a kicker has the temerity to question the QB's and HC's cajones...man, what has this league come to?

One has to feel real bad for Tony Dungy. What a class act he is. And what an unbelievable role model as a human being, coping with the most unspeakable loss any parent can endure.

As for the key 4th down where Peyton Manning sent the punt team back to the sidelines...from the look on Dungy's face and the way he was retreating up the sideline, it sure looked apparent that Manning was vetoing the coach's decision. Dungy said afterward that the punt team was just being overzealous and that he and Manning were in full agreement...is that something he had to say in retrospect? No coach would want it to be known that the QB could veto his decisions...and there has already been some speculation that Manning basically calls the shots with that team.

I totally give Dungy the benefit of the doubt. And it really doesn't matter. In fact, it might have been great if Kurt Warner had sent the punt team back off the field on a couple of occasions this past year.

Manning was right...had the Colts punted the ball needing three scores to win the game, they most likely wouldn't have had the time to do it. As it turned out, the Colts actually had a chance to win the game down 21-3 late in the third quarter.

Mr. Manning created some great karma, with this oh-so-eloquent response:

"Here we are, I'm out at my third Pro Bowl, I'm about to go in and throw a touchdown to Jerry Rice, we're honoring the Hall of Fame, and we're talking about our idiot kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth off.......These guys are great guys, but they've been getting killed all week because our idiot ran his mouth. So when I get home I'll deal with it. Tony and I have talked about it. It's kind of funny really when you think about it. If he still is a teamamte we'll deal with it, that remains to be seen. But, the sad thing is, he's a good kicker. He's a good kicker. But he's an idiot."

I liked the one quote from the announcer yesterday. "And the fans are streaming back to their seats."

What kind of a fan leaves a playoff game with their team only down by 3 points? Indy fans blow.

What does that say for me?

The Colts have been my second favorite team since they moved to Indy back in 1984.

I must be the one to blame...

As a long time St.Louis Cardinal baseball fan I would go with the maybe not.

They've been in the post season a lot under Tony without having won the big one. But I wouldn't trade their results for the football Cardinals results for any amount of money.

I'd rather WIN and get kicked in the nuts every year other than what we've put up with for most of the past 18 years. Losing sucks (period) I want to win!

"..And in this corner.."

I don't believe that anyone would wish to suckarse instead of being a perennial playoff team with a superstar QB!
I do understand and commiserate the frustrations of being a Cards fan for ney on 20 years.. And only imagine those fans since the late 40's..
+'s 1-Boldin[assuming he stays healthy]and Fitz.. Less so Arrington[the last two games impressed me in showing glimpses of him.
2-Young Defense, fast, but shallow..
The rest is negative as afar as I'm concerned..
